Record Breaking GCSE results
Kantor King Solomon is celebrating another record breaking year at GCSE. The school has maintained the progress it made last year with over 75% of students achieving the national standard measure of good passes in both English and maths.
This year’s results represent a remarkable transformation in the success of the Jewish School in Barkingside. This year the students performed above and beyond their expected levels, which opens the door to continue their studies at advanced level in the school’s thriving Sixth Form.
The new measure of Progress 8 and Attainment 8 were also very positive, showing that Kantor King Solomon has firmly re-established itself as an academic option in North East London.
Jewish Studies continue to be a strength in the school with 81% of students achieving A* - C in GCSE Religious Studies.
This reflect the remarkable success of the A’ level students who achieved an astonishing 89% A* - C in Jewish Studies last week.
Individual’s success of note include:
Ishan Gulati – 7 A* 2As
Aimee Cohen – 7A* 1A
Prince Ahmed – 7A* 1A
Ashna Pillai – 7A* 1A
Mia Keizner – 6A* 2As
Charlotte Moore – 6A* - 2As
(equivalent grades are recorded to avoid confusion with the new grading system for English and maths).
Matthew Slater (Headteacher) said:
